Welcome to Krazy.Dreams.Uploaded, wanderer. You have just stumbled on the place where dreamers dream, made come true by a “Krazy” group of students from MCC 129 February 2009.
Before you proceed to prod through our minds and share our thoughts, allow us to introduce you to this site first. Krazy.Dreams.Uploaded is a project for a Mass Communications’ subject, designed by students for students (or any other age group for that matter). The Krazees chose such a name because we want it to be related to KDU College, the place where we met, as well as our learning institution.
Here you will find our thoughts on various subjects, arts and events such as anime, movies, games, places and fashion. From your readings, you will soon see that we consist of a diverse group of people, guys and girls alike. We love sarcasm, but at the same time, we are rational individuals who know how to respect others’ feelings and work. Feel free to agree with us or contradict us but be FOREWARNED: we do not take kindly to flaming and bashing.
That said, have fun! The Krazees will be happy to answer any inquiries and are bribable with chocolate or candy.

MOVIE REVIEW: CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC
CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC
By Thash Confessions of a Shopaholic is definitely for the fashion lovers out there. The film adaptation of Sophie Kinsella’s bestselling novel is a sweet and light-hearted romantic comedy, perfect to see with your best girlfriends. With all those movies about impending doom, (sorry Nicholas Cage!) this story is refreshing. Isla Fisher’s endearing portrayal of main character Rebecca Bloomwood stands out, especially with her comedic timing. You can’t help but root for the girl. However, at the end of the day this flick is all about the glamorous clothes, dangerously high heels and the hot guy (Hugh Dancy!!) in Prada. No surprise, since the costumes were designed by famous costume designer Patricia Field, (Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada.) Credit should be given to Joan Cusack and John Goodman for their hilarious portrayal of Rebecca’s miserly yet absolutely lovable mom and dad. If only they had more scenes! Then there’s Hugh Dancy, who plays charming leading man Luke opposite Fisher’s rambunctious Rebecca. While this movie may not be winning Oscars for best film, it is one that is highly recommended if you love the combination of fashion, romance and comedy. If anything else, this movie has made me doubly eager to read the book it was derived from.
By Elaine If I were to describe this week’s movie in a sentence, it would be: add girls, fashion, drama and a cute guy together and you get Confessions of a Shopaholic. I have never read the book, but both Isla Fisher and Hugh Dancy played their roles really well. The supporting characters such as Joan Cusack, John Goodman and Krysten Ritter are really emphatic in their roles as Rebecca’s parents and best friend. This latest book adaption has its moments, and the wardrobe is obviously one of the movie’s selling points but if you are going to watch a movie for its fashion you are better off just buying fashion magazines. At least they tell you where you can get the clothes and the price. However, that and good acting still can’t save this movie from the stereotypical plot that befalls all romantic comedies or chick flicks. Maybe I’m just biased towards these movies. After all, they are multiplying by the dozen and plaguing society with unhealthy (note: sugary sweet and cheesy) storylines. In conclusion, Confessions of a Shopaholic is worth a watch if you are fairly new to the genre or a fan of Hugh Dancy but if you have been living on Bridget Jones, Legally Blonde and The Devil Wears Prada, you are not missing anything.
Thash: I think Elaine has got her points well thought-out but I’m sticking to my guns, cos’ I love me some cheesiness.
Elaine: You know Thash, if you want cheese, there’s always Dragonball Evolution… though I have to agree that it is something perfect to watch with your best girlfriends rather than some dramatic film that puts your emotions through the wringer.
